For New Year's Eve, Wayland and I went camping with friends at Port St. Joe National Park.  It was so beautiful and I was able to take tons of pictures.  The weather was great and we had a great time.

Long time no blogging

Well, since the last time I blogged I have moved back to Cedar Key and gotten a job working at a bank.  That's why I haven't had a lot of time to focus on my art (unfortunately!!).  I have finally gotten some extra time to update all of this stuff and while attempting to update my website, I discovered that it is down. It has something to do with mobile me and icloud and I haven't been able to deal with that yet.  However, here is some of my most recent stuff.  Some of it was done in October and November but mostly it is from December.

Here are a few of my latest images.  I am really getting into these amazing brushes in photoshop that allow me to have brushstrokes in digital art. 

Under Construction

Recently I changed the look of my blog.  It was a complete accident that happened with the push of a button.  Blogger has some new templates and when I thought I was previewing, I was actually applying to my blog.  So...I have several hours of work ahead of me because I want to customize everything.   I'm not too upset because I wanted to change it anyway. 

Digital Collage

Florence + the Machine just released their new single "What the water gave me" and I LOVE this song.  Originally I was going to use the lyrics for a music poster and then after listening to the song over and over, I definitely got a reference to Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet.  So after looking at some artistic representations of Ophelia and with the help of a photograph from my friend Christian Harkness, I created this piece. 

Another Music Poster

Just finished another music poster.  I love this song and saw The Avett Brothers in concert a while ago and they put on a fantastic show!  They are amazing musicians and these lyrics really stuck with me.

I have a long list of songs that I want to do this with.  But here are the first 3 I have completed.  I have a couple of others that are in progress, but sometimes I feel like they need to be changed when I look at them on another day or have a better idea for them.  Look for more soon!
